Comverge Drives Rule Change Enabling Residential Demand Response Resources to Participate in PJM Synchronized Reserve Market RSS Feed

NORCROSS, Ga., Aug. 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Comverge, Inc., the leading provider of demand management solutions for electric utilities, commends the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the PJM Interconnection for an important tariff change that became effective today that allows residential demand response resources to participate in the Synchronized Reserve Market. Comverge provided data to PJM to help facilitate this rule change by demonstrating through a statistical sample of residential customers enrolled in a Comverge direct load control demand response program that these resources could meet the 10-minute response time requirement for this market and the market would be assured of having a very accurate accounting of the resources that were delivered.
