Over the past 35 years, Ron has applied his innovation methodology to envision and deliver several strategic business solutions in the Energy, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Aerospace, and Financial Services industries.
In 2000, Ron led the development of VizTrade, a physical trading and scheduling system for Power Team, the wholesale power marketing division of Exelon. In 1994, Ron founded Liquent to develop CoreDossier, a commercial electronic assembly and publishing system that ensures companies in the Life Sciences industry comply with regulatory requirements worldwide.
In his current role as Founder and CEO, Ron leads Innotap in its mission to provide energy and commodity traders with the ability to easily access, visualize, process, analyze and exploit big data sets fast enough to capture opportunities before markets change. Ron has a master’s degree in computer science from Villanova University and bachelor’s degree in computer science from Temple University. He is a co-inventor of multiple patents, including a “Method and apparatus for the integration of information and knowledge” (patent# 6,236,994).
Founder and Vice President
With over 27 years in software development, Moon has led and contributed to the successful delivery of several large, complex software products, where he has been actively involved in all phases of development including architecture, design, development, deployment and maintenance.
Moon was President and Senior Consultant of Moon Chung Consulting for almost 3 years where he created and delivered publishing and data consolidation and reporting solutions. He was also a principal developer and architect for Liquent for over 8 years; and senior developer at Dialog Information Services for nearly 5 years.
In his current role as Vice President, Software Development, Moon leads the design, development, delivery and maintenance of software products for Innotap’s customers. Moon has completed graduate studies in computer science at Villanova University and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of Texas at Austin.
Joe Mac Crory
Product Management and Business Development
With over 35 years of experience in the utilities and wholesale power marketing industry, Joe has been involved in all aspects of power trading, including competitive market analysis, hedging and proprietary trading in energy markets, trading strategies and model development, and risk management.
Over the past 17 years, Joe founded and led several energy trading companies, including Exelon’s Power Team where he spent almost 7 years as a Senior Energy Trader, trading every US Power market on the hourly, next day and financial trading desks, and developing internal software tools that enhanced realtime decision making to optimize deal execution. From 1982 to 1995, Joe held various positions at PECO Energy in Accounting, Operations, and EMS implementation and support.
In his current role as Vice President, Product Management and Business Development, Joe manages Innotap’s product portfolio, leading on-going product development cycles and driving relationships with customers and partners to conceive, build, and deliver world class products to the market. Joe has a bachelor’s of science degree in management information systems from Saint Joseph’s University.
President, Innovative Energy Consulting LLC
Head of Global Sales and Marketing
Over the past 28 years George has successfully applied his comprehensive knowledge of the energy business to create, execute, and refine trading strategies, product initiatives, and sales ventures. Working with start-ups and several Fortune 500 organizations including Dominion Virginia Power, Exelon Corporation, and most recently Johnson Controls, George has fostered innovation and brought together the essential players to solve critical business challenges.
In early 2006 George founded Innovative Energy Consulting LLC. Innovative Energy Consulting provides energy expertise to trading and software companies. This company was instrumental in helping both market segments realize revenue gains from supply side products and strategically positioned software solutions. Most notably, Innovative Energy Consulting was one of the original contributors of domain knowledge and facilitators of initial sales growth to Innotap.
In 2007, George was hired by EnergyConnect to create, develop, and deploy a sales and marketing strategy throughout the US. Whilte there, George secured multimillion dollar contracts with the National Security Agency, Department of Defense, Reagan National Airport, and the Virginia Department of Mines Minerals and Energy.
In 2011 EnergyConnect was acquired by Johnson Controls. George’s primary role in this acquisition was to educate the Johnson Controls business units and integrate Demand Response and Energy Efficiency cash flows into the larger JCI product offering.
In 2016 George rejoined Innotap as Head of Global Sales and Marketing. George serves as a principal on Innotap’s management team, consulting on and executing sales and marketing activities, driving revenue generation and growth, managing customer relationships, developing and maximizing business partner relationships, participating in product management, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure appropriate priorities and plans are in place to achieve business objectives.
President, IMGM Consulting, LLC
Principal Developer, Consultant
With over 23 years of experience in software development, Igor has led and contributed to the design and delivery of many complex commercial and corporate solutions in the Energy, Financial, Banking, Telecommunications, and Pharmaceutical industries.
Igor was a technical manager and solutions consultant for 11 years at Comverse Technology where he managed over $100 million of global software / hardware deployments and support of realtime billing systems for multinational telecommunications companies. Prior to that, he was senior consultant and team leader at QVC where he managed the mission critical Order Flow application and led systems integration. From 1994 to 2002, while at PPGx, Xerox, and Neuron Data, Igor specialized in the design and implementation of advanced databases and Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) for multi-tiered applications.
In his current role as Principal Developer, Igor leverages his vast technical and GUI expertise to enhance and add to the company’s current set of apps to help users better visualize data and information needed to make the best possible decisions in realtime.
Igor has a M.S. in computer science and applied mathematics from Riga Technical University, Riga, Latvia. He also is a co-inventor of multiple patents, including a “Method and apparatus for the integration of information and knowledge” (patent# 6,236,994) and “Tracking of clinical study samples, information and results” (patent# WO/2001/043038).
Infrastructure, Quality Assurance and Support
With over 21 years of experience in technical services, quality assurance and customer support in the wholesale power marketing industry, Vinny has been involved with a multitude of Information Technology projects and all phases of the software development life cycle.
Vinny joined Exelon in 2000 to help establish the QA process and helpdesk support team. For almost 12 years, Vinny directly contributed to the successful development, testing, deployment, maintenance and support for a multitude of complex energy trading applications.
In his current role as Director, Infrastructure, Quality Assurance & Support, Vinny oversees the critical resources required for Innotap’s development and operations, delivering the highest quality of software services possible, and maximizing customer satisfaction. Vinny has a BS in Commerce and Engineering from Drexel University.
Kent Close, President, KCC, Inc.
Consultant, Systems Engineering
Over the past 22 years, Kent has led engineering initiatives for the design, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of several large software systems. He has hands-on experience working across multiple industries including Energy, Financial Services, Telecommunications, Advertising, and Pharmaceuticals.
Starting in 2000, Kent served for 7 years as the QA Lab Manager and Engineer for over 30 complex software applications, including the Viztrade physical trading and scheduling system for Power Team, the wholesale power marketing division of Exelon. His most recent role was Environment Coordinator for the Advanced Control Center (AC²) initiative at PJM.
In his current role as Systems Engineering Consultant to Innotap, Kent makes recommendations and contributes to the development and operations of Innotap’s systems infrastructure, quality assurance, and support services. Kent earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University.
Jin Chung, President, Jin-Heechung LLC
Consultant, Senior Data Analyst, Data Validation
Jin has more than 15 years of data management experience in the pharmaceutical industry for Merck, Wyeth-Ayerst (now Pfizer) and Omnicare (now Theorem Clinical). As a Clinical Data Analyst, Jin generated multiple clinical databases exceeding accuracy of 99.99% or more within the given time frame.
In her current role as Senior Data Analyst / Data Validation Consultant to Innotap, Jin ensures that new products released to production display the highest data accuracy possible and behave as expected. Specific responsibilities include: building and executing standard testing plans, reviewing all products deployed to QA, documenting and communicating issues to the developers, re-validating data and functionality before releasing to production. Jin has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Eastern College.
Jeff Foose, Managing Partner, AERIS Capital
Strategic Advisor, Business Development
Over the past 23 years, Jeff has been a Commodity Trader and Asset Manager who has executed strategic/speculative trading, over-the-counter market making, and proprietary trading systems. He has developed comprehensive computer models and trading interfaces to capture market arbitrage, monitor realtime value-at-risk, and provide senior officers and shareholders with systematic methods for controlling portfolios in highly volatile market conditions.
In his current role as Strategic Advisor, Business Development, Jeff serves as a principal on Innotap’s management team, consulting on long-term product strategies as well as partnerships and other business development opportunities. Jeff has completed graduate studies in financial modeling and programming at University of Pennsylvania, has NFA/FINRA – Series 7, Series 55, Series 3, and a bachelor’s of science degree in finance from LaSalle University.
