Federal coal program reviewed

The Bureau of Land Management published a number of critiques of the federal coal program Thursday as well as recommendations to reform the way coal development is regulated on public lands. The fate of the coal study is uncertain as a new Congress, and new president, take over leadership in Washington, D.C.

Does wind jack up utility bills?

The falling cost of wind development has brought the small industry to the fore of conversation in the state. Many believe that wind has increased electricity bills for Wyomingites, but experts say it’s more complicated than that.

A first in Wyoming solar

The planned Sweetwater Solar Project would be the first of its size in Wyoming, supplying 80 megawatts of electricity to the Wyoming grid. The facility would be on public land near Green River.
