ERCOT SETS NEW WIND POWER GENERATION RECORD AT 12,238 MW

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas set a new wind generation output record of 12,238 MW Thursday, according to the grid operator.
The record was set at 12:48 am CDT Thursday and represented 36.83% of ERCOT’s load at the time, according to ERCOT. For the hour ending at 1 am CDT Thursday, ERCOT load totaled 33,825 MW, according to ERCOT data.
The previous wind record was 11,467 MW, set September 13.
